The Aerie

With the University Archives and the EMU Center for Oral History Research, the stories and memories of the people who make up EMU's community, both on campus and off, have a place to be recorded and preserved—even traveling to meet them where they are. The EMU Aerie is a mobile oral history recording booth that makes it possible for members of the community to record their stories for posterity from the familiar confines of their own driveways and front yards. With the Aerie, EMU and Ypsilanti can make history in real time, together.

The University Archives and Center for Oral History Research graciously thank former EMU College of Education professor Dr. Irene Allen for her generosity and support in taking the Aerie from dream to reality.
