  Photograph of a river in a canyon river. Large boulders and rocks sit in the middle of the river. Trees grow on the river banks. A wooden bridge has been built on top of the boulders.   Photograph of a three story building in Panama in 1926. Several cars are parked on the side of the street in front of the building and trees conceal a portion of the facade. The structure appears to have a third story balcony with an open air porch. Arched entrances cover the front and side facade of the building on the first floor, which was most likely used by vendors. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card.   Photograph of a Cascade Mountain forest in Oregon. Large boulders have fallen from the mountains above and are piled along the hillside. A steel guard rail can be seen in the foreground. Some of the trees are missing limbs because they were likely surrounded by other trees before the rock slide, meaning the only energy invested in their growth went to their tops.
