  Ceiba at Maraianao, Cuba. To northwest
  Ceiba tree in Maraianao, Cuba. This type of tree commonly grows in tropical areas and is distinguished by its tall, branchless trunk which spreads out into a large canopy of branches and leaves at the top. The tree stands taller than all of the other vegetation surrounding it and sits on top of a ridge next to the road. Power lines can be seen in the foreground.

  Photograph of a cemetery. Trees surround a plot of land. The plot of land has three headstones. Stands of trees can be in the background. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case.   Several sailing ships can be seen in Euboea, Greece. Villas can be seen in the background sitting on a hill near that water. Four boys can be seen in the foreground sitting on chairs watching the ships. Stacks of chairs and tables can be seen sitting on a dock area most likely to be used for events.

  Charleston Earthquake - Derailed locomotive, Ten-mile hill
  A derailed train in Charleston, South Carolina. It is noted the train was derailed after an earthquake. Three men stand next to the train engine and two are sitting on the car behind the engine. A dense forest can be seen in the background and powerline run beside the rail line in the foreground.

  An Oak tree growing 1 1/2 miles west of Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. Municipal buildings can be seen in the background and cars are parked along the roadway outside of the buildings. The Oak tree is growing in a grassy park across the buildings along with several other trees. It is noted that the trees are being affected by a west wind. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R.   A stand of trees 10 miles west of Lake Michigan in Chicago, Illinois. A large Oak tree rises above the other trees in the group and all of the trees are being affected by the wind.   An Elm tree growing on 60th Street 1 1/2 miles from Lake Michigan in Chicago, Illinois. The tree is relatively small and all of its branches rise out of the top of the trunk.
