  The south Cheyenne Canyon in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The landscape is mountainous and densely covered in pine trees. A large boulder can be seen in the foreground and mountain peaks in the background.

  Flat landscape of a grassy plain in Colorado. It is noted this location is S.W. of La Junta in eastern Colorado. Grass and alfalfa covers the ground which is so flat that the view is unimpeded for miles. A single farm can be seen in the center of the picture, surrounded by several trees. Otherwise, the land is clear cut and likely used for grazing.

  Colorado's Garden of the Gods. Cleopatra's needle
  Cleopatra's Needle in the Garden of the Gods State Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The geological features in the park are part of an ancient seabed that was comprised of red sandstone and limestone. The rock formation in the picture is in the shape of a spire and is most likely a part of the Cathedral Spires rock formation. Several smaller spires surround the main on and the landscape is rocky with little vegetation, except for a single tree that can be seen in the background.

  An African American family's house in Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1913. The house is a story-and-a-half wooden clapboard sided structure with a small addition of the back. A single chimney rises out of the center of the ridgeline and the house is raised on a stone foundation. The landscape around the house is flat and has a single tree in the front yard. A dirt road can be seen in the background, presumably leading to other residences.

  An African American family's house in Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1913. The house is a story-and-a-half wooden clapboard sided structure with a small addition of the back. The house is raised on a stone foundation and the landscape around the house is flat and has several trees in the front yard. A goat is tied to the tree in the foreground and several other residences can be seen in the background.

  Model ship in Berkeley, California. It is noted that the ship was designed to model the ship used by Christopher Columbus. The ship has been lifted out of the water and is dry docked on a wooden frame. Large masts rise out of the center of the ship and several smaller rowing boats can be seen on the showers next to the ship. A windmill can be seen in the background along with industrial buildings next to the water.

  Photograph of the exterior envelope of a newly constructed house at 298 North Normal Street Ypsilanti, Michigan. It is noted the house will be a brick veneer style, is located on Normal Street, and was constructed in 1912. Holes are cut in the wooden frame of the house for windows to be installed. Wooden sheeting has been placed over the frame to act as a barrier under the siding. Piles of shingle sheets are stacked on top of the roof, waiting to be nailed down. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case.
