  Compound House Structures. McClellanville, South Carolina. "Village McClellanville"
  Photograph of a village in McClellanville, South Carolina. Several houses have been constructed next to each other and form a compound-like village. A water tower can be seen through the trees and other vegetation that obscures most of the houses. The trees are barren.

  Concert in Normal Hall. Old Main
  Attendees at a choir concert in Normal Hall, which used to be Old Main, on the Michigan State Normal College campus, now Eastern Michigan University. The choir stands in front of a large pipe organ on the back wall of the auditorium and the concert attendees are sitting in long, wooden pews surrounding the main stage. The ceiling is stencil painted and large chandeliers hang from recessed portions of the ceiling.

  Concrete fort near a beach "Panama, 1926"
  Photograph of a concrete wall of a fort in Panama. It is noted the picture was taken in 1926. Trees and other vegetation grow up in front of the fort wall. A large concrete turret stands at the peak where two of the walls meet. The beach is rocky and the tide appears to be out because portions of bottom of the bay are exposed. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case. As such, there may be a corresponding digitized glass lantern slide, and a mounted stereographic card associated with this stereographic negative within the Mark Jefferson Collection.

  Concrete fort near a beach "Panama, 1926"
  Photograph of a fort overlooking a beach taken in Panama in 1926. The massive walls of the fort are made of formed concrete and have vegetation growing up the side of them. A lookout tower stands at the point where two walls connect. The beach is sandy and rocky. The tide appears to be out because a majority of the bay is exposed. Sailboats can be seen in the background along with mountains in the distance. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case. As such, there may be a corresponding digitized glass lantern slide, and a mounted stereographic card associated with this stereographic negative within the Mark Jefferson Collection.

  Connected farm "Gilmanton, New Hampshire. August 31, 1927"
  Photograph of a connected farm. The farm is made of a barn two small dependency and a large farm house. A wooden fence surrounds the yard. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case. As such, there may be a corresponding digitized glass lantern slide, and a mounted stereographic card associated with this stereographic negative within the Mark Jefferson Collection.

  Praca do Comercio in Santarem, Portugal. A private palace sits behind a plaster wall while a donkey and buggy driven by a man go by in front of the palace. Three story buildings can be seen in the background

  Contact of ice and wait apron
  Landscape of a stand of trees in a grassy field. The trees are all relatively the same age based on their size, and rocks have been piled at their bases to protect their trunks and roots. Several bushes dot the landscape to the right and a shallow embankment can be seen to the left. Power lines run through the tree branches.

  Three different landscape scenes of Huasco Valley, Chile. All are very mountainous and dense with foliage. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.

  Mountainscape of Corcovado, Brazil from the bay. Very mountainous terrain with the tallest peak being the focal point of the picture. The foliage on the mountain range is dense.
