Photograph of a vernacular house located in Gilmanton, New Hampshire. It is noted the image was taken in June of 1926 and shows a "Home" House. The front facade of the house is slightly off center, suggesting the floor plan is a hall and parlor style with two floors and central staircase. A two-story addition can be seen on the back of the house and a wooden picket fence surrounds the property. Large trees grow beside the house, shading most of it from the sun. A second house can be seen to the left and tall grass covers the landscape in the foreground. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case. As such, there may be a corresponding digitized glass lantern slide, and a mounted stereographic card associated with this stereographic negative within the Mark Jefferson Collection.
