A dugout wooden boat near Vicksburg, Mississippi. A man sits in the dugout boat while a second man watches him from the banks of the river. A log cabin with a gable end chimney sits on a hill above the river and a wooden fence surrounds the property. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
