Description

Royal Gorge at 6500' near Canon City, Colorado. The Arkansas River can be seen at the bottom of the gorge as it cuts through the granite mountain sides. The landscape is rugged and mountainous with no trees and few scrub bushes. The gorge has a maximum depth of 1250' and is 300' wide at the top and 50' wide at the base.
