Description
-
Rose Street in Berkeley, California. It is noted that the street is too steep for cars and that steps are used to get to the houses. Built in the Craftsman style, the houses have been built into the hill next to the steps and are surrounded by dense trees and other vegetation. Decorative pedestals line the stairway and power lines have been strung next to the stairs, leading to the houses above.
