Description

A man stands next to large old growth cedar tree stumps near the Puget Sound in Washington. The stumps are as tall as the man and appear to be approximately 20-25 feet in circumference. Dead trees can be seen in the background, behind a wooden picket fence. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
