Ceiba tree in Maraianao, Cuba. This type of tree commonly grows in tropical areas and is distinguished by its tall, branchless trunk which spreads out into a large canopy of branches and leaves at the top. The tree stands taller than all of the other vegetation surrounding it and sits on top of a ridge next to the road. Power lines can be seen in the foreground.
