An Elm tree growing next to the roadway in Fennville, Michigan. It is noted that the tree is 5 miles from Lake Michigan. The tree stands by itself next to cultivated fields, and several farms can be seen in the background. The Elm is being blown by the wind. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
