Description

An Elm tree with new leaves on it near Ypsilanti, Michigan. The tree towers over the gas station in the picture, where cars are parked and people can be seen pumping gas. A sign reading, "Standard '70' Anti-Knock 6 Gal. $1.00," can be seen in front of the gas station. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
