Description

White Poplar trees growing on a sand dune in Allegan County Park in Allegan, Michigan. It is noted that the trees are leafing out and it is May 15th. The trees are growing out of the sandy bluff about Lake Michigan and dune grass covers the landscape closer to the water. The trees are all being blown by the wind. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
