Description

Two Willow trees growing the beaches of Jackson Park in Chicago, Illinois. It is noted that their trunks lean away from Lake Michigan and have grown sideways from the wind and elements caused by the lake. The landscape is sandy with little vegetation and trees grow throughout the park. A metal tower and a small buildings can be seen behind the willow trees. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
