Description
-
A man leads a team of horses as they drag the beach sand to clean it in Jackson Park in Chicago, Illinois. A wooden wagon is shaded under the one tree on the beach and a woman walks beside the team of horses. Wooden fences divide portions of the beach and the city buildings can be seen in the background. It is noted that the beach pavilion does not shelter this area of the beach. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
