An Oak tree growing 1 1/2 miles west of Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. Municipal buildings can be seen in the background and cars are parked along the roadway outside of the buildings. The Oak tree is growing in a grassy park across the buildings along with several other trees. It is noted that the trees are being affected by a west wind. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
