Description
-
A man and a child stand outside of a cliff dwelling in Wu-tai hsien in the Shansi Province of China. Pottery kilns and other cliff dwellings have been constructed into the hills of the mountains. Stepped fields can be seen above the houses, presumably used for farming as a way to stop the erosion of the fields. There is no vegetation on the hills.
