A Hau Tree with thick, tangled branches that spread out across the landscape. The Hau plant is commonly referred to as the Sea Hibiscus and is a large evergreen shrub that can reach 15 to 25 feet in height. They grow best in warm, coastal climates. Grass covers the ground around the tree.

Hau Tree; Landscape; Vegetation; Mrs. Gray's in Waikiki, Honolulu. The large two-and-a-half stroy has large palladian-esque windows on the first floor and sash windows on the second floor, along with a large projecting dormer centered on the roof over the main entrance. A small addition can be seen on the side of the house and a car sits in the dirt drive-way that is a circle for easy entrance to the property. Vegetation has been planted around the house and palm trees can be seen in the background.
