This safe manufactured by Detroit Safe Company formerly sat in the Principal’s office on the first floor of the tower in Old Main. The safe and Principal John M. B. Sill are both recognizable in the photo below, taken around 1893:
Today the safe sits outside the EMU Archives on the third floor of Halle Library.
