Item

Title
Roots in old cleft in Maple
Photographer
Likely, Mark Jefferson
Description
A broken Maple tree has fallen in front of a building in Ypsilanti, Michigan. As the tree was growing, the trunk split and caused a cleft, which is where the tree split and fell. Roots can be seen growing in the old cleft when the tree was still intact. The slide is part of a series about a wind storm in the area.
