He is wearing a silky vest and long sleeve shirt with rolled up pants and no shoes. The rug he is making is attached to a log loom and a ball of twine sits on the ground at the base of the loom. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
