  • Boulders on a shoreline "Thumb area. Michigan"

Photograph of rocks in water. The rocks show signs of weathering. Trees grow in the background. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case. As such, there may be a corresponding digitized glass lantern slide, and a mounted stereographic card associated with this stereographic negative within the Mark Jefferson Collection.
  • Boulders. Unidentified

  • Bowler hat on a hill "Saline and surrounding area. Undated"

Photograph of a trees in a hilly area. The trees do not have foliage. A small hole can be seen in the middle of the hill. A bowler hat sits on a rock near the hole.

Image of a boy in Zaragoza, Spain. It is noted that the picture was taken outside the huerta, opposite of the gate. Row houses can be seen behind the boy and a metal fence closes off the entrances from the sidewalk. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." • Brazil, Joinville, house in new villa style

A villa-style house in Joinville, Brazil. The house appears to have a side-entrance but large floor to ceiling windows are on the facade that faces the street. A false cornice and dentil line wraps around the building between the two floors and the second story has a steep, overhanging tile roof. Gingerbread decoration hangs from the street-facing gable and is mirrored in the exterior design of the house. The entire property is surrounded by a wrought-iron fence and stone entrance columns. People walk on the sidewalk in front of the house.
  • Brick building "New Mexico, undated"

Photograph of the exterior of a building in the process of being built. The exterior is composed of brick. Wooden window frames can be seen on the brick walls. More bricks are piled in front of the building.
  • Brick row houses "Europe trip. 1911"

Photograph of a street located in Europe. It is noted the picture was taken in 1911. The brick row houses are attached to each other by party walls in the foreground. The houses share a central chimney. They are all designed with front bay windows and are likely side passage houses. Dense shrubs conceal the walkways to the front doors and the grave street in front of the houses is well maintained. A gas street lamp stands on the opposite sidewalk to the houses.

It is noted the house will be a brick veneer style, is located on Normal Street, and was constructed in 1912. There is an upclose view of the wooden sheeting that goes on the exterior of the house before siding is put over the top of it. Holes are cut in the wooden frame of the house for windows to be installed. Workers have begun laying the exterior veneer brick around the foundation of the house.
