Photograph of an open field taken in California. The field is divided by a wooden post and wire fence. Large trees and other vegetation grows in the background in front of large mountains. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case. As such, there may be a corresponding digitized glass lantern slide, and a mounted stereographic card associated with this stereographic negative within the Mark Jefferson Collection. -
An uprooted tree "Colorado. Undated"
Photograph of tree roots in a small field. It appears that a tree has been uprooted. Short vegetation grows near the tree roots. A large hill rises in the background . Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case. Landscape of an ancient beach line. Men walk the perimeter of the forest where presumably the water reached. The flat landscape in the foreground is covered with grass and other vegetation and the forested portions of the hills rise around the ancient water line. -

An ancient cliff of Lake Michigan on South Manitou Island, Michigan. The landscape is hilly with a plateau at the bottom, and covered with rocks and trees. A wooden fence can be seen in the background, and a wooden house or outbuilding has been constructed on top of the hill. -

Ancient sea bluff of Lake Michigan near Glen Arbor, Michigan. The landscape is flat but then immediately turns into hills on the right side of the picture. The lower portion of the bluff has been clear cut and cultivated fields can be seen in the foreground, as a part of a larger farm. A lake can be seen in the background. -

Photograph of a two story dwelling with a large brick exterior fireplace identified as belonging to Anna Lee Morrison of McClellanville, South Carolina. A covered porch can be seen on the front, and two window dormers on the roof about the main entrance. A single story addition is on the rear of the house. Dense vegetation of vines and native plants obscures much of the house.
