  Photograph of a large boulders taken in Colorado. The rocks are light in color and show signs of weathering and erosion. Sparse vegetation can be seen in the midground.   Rocky landscape in Wu-tai-shan of the Shan-si province in China. It is noted that the lands at the base of the deforested mountains are buried in waste. Large boulders and rocks cover the barren landscape, and several buildings and stepped agricultural fields can be seen at the base of the mountains. There is no vegetation.
