  Photograph of an academic building most likely on the Michigan State Normal College, now Eastern Michigan University Ypsilanti, Michigan. The building is three stories with an arch over the main entrance that is surrounded by corinthian order columns. The building has recutangular windows. A large denticulated gable sits above the main entrance. The roof has a stone balustrade surrounding the flat portion. A concrete walkway leads the the main entrance and is surrounded by trees and other vegetation.

  Looking across Kilauea in 1921. The landscape of the volcano is barren and stream rises out of the ground. Ash deposit walls can be seen in the foreground. Kilauea is an active shield volcano that has a high frequency of eruptions.

  Adams mansion. Quincy, Mass.
  The Adams mansion in Quincy, Massachusetts. The house is two stories with at least four roof dormers and nine bays. Ivy covers most of the front facade and the main entrance portico. Shutters are attached to all of the windows. The house was the residence of two American presidents and their descendents from 1720 to 1927. The house is now a protected historical park and a park of the National Park Service. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
