  Birch trees near house "Elms. 1937-38"
  Photograph of a birch tree. The tree grows in a residential yard. Two houses can be seen behind the birch tree. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case. • Birmingham Jr., Roy O.
  Roy Birmingham, Jr. was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 21, 1928. He was nearly 22 years of age when he was drafted in 1950. After basic training and specialized training, Roy was assigned to the 8th Army Headquarters (EUSAK) Signal Corp. He spent time in Taegu and Yeondeungpo, Korea. Roy obtained the rank of Sergeant First Class before he was discharged in 1952. Roy currently lives in the Fox Run Living Center, in Novi, Michigan.

  A black bear and her cub in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. It is noted the picture was taken in Canyon Camp in 1915. The bears are seen walking across the rocky ground and they are relatively camouflaged by the trees in the background. Dead timber litters the ground of the camp.

  Black Domed Building
  Background building has four black domes visible on the roof. One central to the building is the largest with a golden cross on the top. Smaller domes hace a golden ball on the top. Middle of image trees and plants. Lower image brickwork with groupings of peopl on int and lamp posts. Right upper side of image has a rectangular building.

  A farmer leads his goats through town and they are walking on the sidewalk and in the street as two women walk past the herd. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
