Dear President lcKenny:
At the meeting of the city Board of Education
May 1, the matter of an extensicn of the training
privileges for the Normal College in connection with
the city schools was considered. The following resclution
was unanimcusly adopted: ‘
Whereas, the State Board of Education has represented that
he further development of the State Normal College 1is
dependent upon arrangements being made for an exten-
gion of training facilities; and ‘
Whereas, said Board has requested this body for an exten-
sion of training privileges in the city schools, such
training to be under the direction and control of the
city Board of Education; therefore be it
Resolved, that such arrangement is nhereby approved, and
that a conmittee consisting of the President and
Secretary of the Board of Educaticn and the Super-
intendent of Schools be autherized to enter into an
agreement with the State Board of Education, or its
representative, providing for a satisfactory exten-
gsion of training privileges, such agreement to be-
come operative when approved by the State Board of
Education and by this body.
o A copy of the resolution has also been sent to
Mr. Keeler and the committee will be glad to take up the
question of definite arrangements at any time.
