Image from a published source. aerial picture of the crater of El Misti, a volcano near Arequipa, Peru. It is noted there have not been any eruptions since conquest and that the elevation of the volcano is 19,000'. Some snow cover the top of the crater but mostly the volcano is bare and rocky. The landscape behind the volcano is hilly and rugged. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
