Larry Smith's Sesquicentennial Interviews

Larry Smith, former EMU Vice President for University Marketing and Student Affairs, 1975-1999, compiled a history of the university for the celebration and commemoration of EMU’s 150th birthday in 1999. In preparation for the book, Smith conducted several oral history interviews with influential members of EMU upper administation. James Brickley, Sally McCracken, Philip Incarnati and more are interviewed about the growth and evolution of EMU throughout their respective tenures.

This collection also spurred the creation of the EMU Oral History Program in 2016 when all analog recordings from the collection were digitized by Historic Preservation graduate student Matt Jones.

This collection is being processed. In the meantime, look for it on Digital Commons.
