Eastern Michigan University Emeritus Oral Histories

When the Oral History Program began operating in 2017, we were interested in preserving more than just the voices of those in rarefied administrative positions. We wanted to make sure our narrators had an authentic stake in the wellness and legacy of EMU, people who worked on the ground and "in the weeds" with students every day, across academic disciplines. Our working relationship with the EMU Emeritus Faculty and Staff Association has ensured that student and faculty interviewers of all experience levels and academic disciplines can work with interested, committed  narrators.
