Photograph of the same threshing machine from 010_MJ_138_008. The machine sits in the middle of a wheat field and several men can be seen sitting under the canvas awning on top of the threshing engine. The giant spool that cuts the wheat is attached to the machine to the left. It is powered by the engine in the front which powers a large belt to turn the cogs of the threshing machine. The engine is labeled "Caterpillar" on the front. Jefferson would often use the same negative to create a lantern slide as well as a mounted stereographic card. When possible we have indicated if it is a repeat image, however this is not always the case. As such, there may be a corresponding digitized glass lantern slide, and a mounted stereographic card associated with this stereographic negative within the Mark Jefferson Collection.
