Rocky landscape of pine trees and scrub brush. The pine trees have been harvested to make turpentine. It is noted that the picture was taken from a moving train. Slide labeled with text, "Made by G.R. Swain, 713 E. University Ave., Ann Arbor, Michigan." Swain was staff photographer at U of M from 1913 to 1947.
