Materials:

All collections for the University Archives are stored on site in the Automated Storage and Retrieval System. Materials must be used in the reading room and can not be checked out. All materials must be requested at least 24-48 hours in advance by calling 734-487-2673 and leaving a message if necessary or by emailing lib_archives@emich.edu


Instructional Support:

The University Archive is happy to work with teaching faculty and lecturers to incorporate primary source materials into the learning process.

Reproductions:

There is a self-service photocopier/scanner available to make facsimiles of materials. 

If you are unable to travel to campus but wish to have materials copied you can either have physical copies or digital scans made. If you are interested in learning more about these services and their associated costs, please contact the archives via phone 734-487-2673 or email lib_archives@emich.edu  


Permission to Publish:

Written permission must be obtained before using materials found in the Eastern Michigan University Archives for personal publication or display.  Please contact the archives via phone 734-487-2673 or email lib_archives@emich.edu for more information.

The researcher assumes full responsibility for the use of the material and for conformity to the laws of defamation, privacy and copyright, and shall indemnify and hold harmless the University and the Archives from claims arising as a result of the use of material so obtained.

If a donor has retained copyright, literary or otherwise, the researcher is responsible for obtaining their permission before publication.
